You’ve reached the personal web page of Howard Peacock. I’m a teacher, academic philosopher, and occasional musician based in South East London. The menu links above will take you to various teaching resources I’ve produced, as well as a selection of my published papers.
About me: I read Classics at Magdalen College, Oxford, from 1997 to 2001, and took my MPhil and PhD in Philosophy at University College London between 2004 and 2009. In between times I’ve taught Latin, Greek and Philosophy in schools in Oxford and London, worked fleetingly as a professional musician, and been employed as a freelance web designer. Since 2013 I’ve been on the Management Committee of Ivy House Community Pub Limited, the co-operative that saved, bought, and re-opened the Ivy House in Nunhead, London’s first co-operatively owned pub and the first building in the UK to be saved as an ‘Asset of Community Value’ under the Localism Act.
